Terms and conditions
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Moosedevs Limited for using Invin — the app and invoice.moosedevs.ltd. By creating an account you accept them.
What Invin is
Software for writing invoices and quotes, recording payments and expenses, and keeping track of what you are owed. It is a tool for doing your own books.
It is not an accountant and not a tax service. The figures it produces are what your records add up to. Whether they are right for a filing is a question for a professional, and nothing here is accounting, tax or legal advice.
Your account
- You need to be 18 or over and able to enter a contract
- Give accurate details and keep them current
- Your sign-in belongs to you — tell us promptly if it is compromised
- What is done through your account is your responsibility
Your data is yours
Your clients, invoices and records belong to you. You license us to hold and process them only so far as running the service requires. We claim no ownership, and you can export or delete them.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or invoice for anything unlawful
- Send invoices to people who have not dealt with you
- Reverse-engineer the service, or resell it as your own
- Attempt to reach other people's accounts or data
- Automate it in a way that degrades it for anyone else
Paying for it
The free plan works within its stated limits. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the current period running; we do not refund part-months unless the law requires it. Prices can change with 30 days' notice.
Taking payments from your customers
Card payments run through Stripe under Stripe's own agreement with you. Money moves between you, Stripe and your customer — we never hold your funds. Disputes and chargebacks are between you, your customer and Stripe.
The assistant
Invin can draft invoices and answer questions about your records from what you say or type. It is useful and it is not infallible.
Check what it produces before you send it. A draft it writes is a draft you are sending, and you are responsible for what reaches your customer. Assistant use is subject to fair limits so one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone.
Availability
We work to keep Invin running but do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or withdraw features; if we remove something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
Ending it
Close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the service or other users at risk — with notice where circumstances allow. Export your records before you go; see the privacy policy for what happens to them afterwards.
Liability
Invin is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss, and our total liability in any twelve months is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above changes, and we will tell you in the app when a change is significant. Continuing to use Invin after that means you accept the new terms.
